I received my first text message from Mr. Irish on last year's Canada Day at around 10pm:

"Sitting on the beach watching fireworks thinking of you. Wanna go out for a dinner some time this week?"

And that's how it started.

This year... I went out on a first date with a Firefighter last night!!! He's also a baptist Christian and seems like we're on the same page on our spiritual journey. I think last night went pretty well although I was a bit nervous. I just received a message from him about meeting up for lunch tomorrow.

Let's see if this is how things start this year =)
